3 months ago I share some of my litle juv Thai spec to kept at my friend's house. Last week he send them back to me.
Here are pic of them. Just only 8" (20 cm), tail spot still bright orange but 6 & 7 bands, flower developing is the best that I never seen and can kept it like this before.
Why?

how i wish i can own one of these...oleoleole...damn...all of them are real beauties..i love that 7 band (already some much flowers at this stage) indeed a rare specimen...if i were you i will separate them individually so that they wont fight and later died.

This is not emperor..but its great a.k.a marulius..
their band are close enough compare to emperor..
and their white scale on the body a.k.a flower spot doesn't appear when they were reach the size that you currently have..actually marulioides will grow it's flower when they reach their size at about 10 - 11 inch..
 
u sure your friend didn't put some hormon growth there???...haha
