idk if its just my area but every one hasent seen them or gotten any in a long time. mine jumped out about 1 year or so ago. and man do i miss it. anybody else notice this or is it just my luck:(

You're LFS just don't order them anymore as juveniles are more sensitive than regular juvenile CK. They just don't wanna loss profit unless they are special order. Just try and ask you LFS as they are available all year round.

hmm.. didn't know.. interesting.. how big do they get? mine seems to have slowed down a lot at 17".. any opinions?

mine was 19in when he jumped. one of my LFS said they he couldnt get any, because his supplier wasent geting any or couldnt get anymore. he always use to get some in about once a month or so in the 3in range.

im gonna go to another one thats a bit of a drive and see about special ordering me one. but last time i was there i asked him about them and he even said he hasent seen them in a long time. oh well just my luck then.

I don't see them all the time either, but I know my lfs can get them whenever. Just have to ask.

I agree, they are hardly seen in fish stores. I use Big Al's in Canada, THey are looking into getting me another one. I recently lost mine. Not sure how old he was, he had a few owners before me. For 4 years he was mine. He died in November. 25", 8" tall and weighed almost 6 lbs. Gorgeous fish, lost of dots, full of personality. HE loved to scoop his tail and splash me. Always let me touch him, loved being scratched under the chin and showing off his swimming arobics. I see lots of other clown knives but a gold is more attractive to me. It may be awhile before I find another big one, so If I have to start small and grow one out, I am up for it.

i just went to another LFS, and the guy there never hered of a gold clown knife? he said he would try to find me one tho. i love CK's to start with but the gold ones are my favs.
