It was fine this morning and now a few hours later it's dead...
I only have an ammonia test kit but it shows up as 0. 50% weekly w/c, last changed on thursday and today's saturday so I don't think the fish was shocked from the w/c, and I dosed prime. Tank established for over a year, 3x recommended filtration and 13x turnover per hour. Only other thing I've added recently is seachem flourish, but the other angelfish in the tank are fine.

Pics: There is red on its head and fins. I have 2 or 3 more angels in the tank with slightly red fins like that, but not on their head. Is it signs of ammonia poisoning? I do not have ammonia in my tank, but I do feed heavily because I want to ensure that the corys get their food at the bottom of the tank. Am I causing the ammonia to spike after feeding?

Also, this angelfish has 2 lines(scratches?) on its body...did it get stuck on something? I took all rocks out...only sharp things may be small pieces of eggshell that I added for calcium or a piece of driftwood(highly doubt it). Do you guys think it may have swallowed some eggshell?

angels are prone to disease. probably sick for a while and you didn't notice.

im going to do another water change just to be safe. i noticed that 2 or 3 of my angels have a slight red dot on the tip of their head(like shown in the pic), but it's much less noticable.

stat?

i looked up the sticky and found this for septicemia
"Bright red streaks on fins (caused by vascular inflammation due to systemic/bloodborne bacterial infection), patchy red discoloration around the body, pop-eye, protrusion of scales, distended abdomen, rapid breathing "

the reddish color on the head and fins are accurate, didn't notice the others though

did a 30% w/c
will keep doing it everyday...dont think plants will be happy with me removing their flourish and nitrates but oh well lol

ammonia 0
no nitrite and nitrate test kit
but 50% weekly, if not twice per week. i highly doubt it's a nitrate problem
