What happened to my platinum endli??

Bought my platinum endli had it less that 48 hours and this happened ..... All water perimeters were perfect when I introduced it to the tank and it had no tank mates I went to town for a few hours in was solid white looked fine came home and it looked like this image.jpg image.jpg
 
Looks like he got stuck on an intake or something. If he got stuck some prefilter sponge should do the trick. Otherwise I can't be certain, he clearly got hurt on something. Sorry to hear he died and quite surprised by that to.

didnt get stuck on intake it is only a 20 gal filter it's not strong enough to suck a 4" bichir to it
 
Yeah probably not that then. Second guess would be jumped into something, but I'm honestly not sure so I will leave it the experts.
