what I need for a 40 gallon cube saltwater tank

Hi everyone I am looking to get into the saltwater aquarium scene. I am interested in a 40 gallon aquarium nano cube I want to grow corals mostly and maybe have 1 or two fish I was wondering what all equipment I need and what fish and corals should I start out with. I know people say smaller tanks are harder but since I'm in college and live with my mom i don't have the space for one. Anyways thanks for any responses sorry if this is a long question

Tank, light, hydrometer, salt, test kit, heater, thermometer, filter, protein skimmer, powerhead, live rock, buffers, etc.

Also keep in mind that you will have to monitor salinity level with the Hydrometer . I suggest checking weekly.
