did not think so i helped my friend set up his first tank to day and he has them in there he wanted me to ask you guys if they could lay eggs

I don't know, I'd bet there is like a one and a billion chance. Although you don't even see sunfish X bass crosses so on the other hand, it might be impossible. The thing about genetics and reproduction, is that it's almost never absolute.

Nope believe me I have tried AI spawning them before (just an experiment dont tell me im stupid wanted to see if it'd work.) It's just like spawning salmon in hatcherys you milk em. I used both a male sunny a male con a nd a femal sunny and a female con to see if maybe that would work but it didn't. My water quality was always perfect and both sets were in excellent condition.



In short, it didn't work.

sunfish cross with bass all the time, you just must not fish a lot. It won't happen.
