That's a very thin Trachycorystes trachycorystus catfish. It should look like:

vanimate: That's a closely related gulper but, the cat for sale isn't Asterophysus batrachus.

Thanks Oddball i thought it was a trachy but it did look really thin. I never seen a trachy in person so i have a hard time with pics.

Trachys rock! As Phil indicated, they should be a lot chubbier than the one pictured. Also, mine appear to object to the use of the common name "brown shoe gulper cat." They just ignored me and continued to grin from "ear to ear" from their rock cave when I called them by that name.

a shop i know sells them for 200 euros each. those are a bit fatter tho. ive seen them but didnt buy cuz i didnt like the looks of those fish.
