i was reading this article on breeding red bellied piranhas and at the end where it was saing the things needed for a fry tank. it said a fish egg guard this is??????

A fish egg guard is a screen or enclosure set a few mm from the eggs so that the parents can continue to fan the eggs but can't reach to eat them.
