What is a gold saum?

There isnt exactly an easy answer for this...
What is called green terrors that you see in most pet shops and chain stores especially are 'gold saum'. Apparantly they are misnamed because the fish originally named green terror is a whole nother fish. Make any sense?
I am also trying to understand this whole issue. It has been a long time they have been called green terrors, the gold saum... now refered to sometimes as false green terror.
Green terror = Aequidens rivulatus
Gold saum = probably an aequidens 'something' (my guess here, and this is the thing you see in shops called green terror)
Confuses me to write this but hope if helps, Ill try to clarify ater if not lol.

I have what people have said is a Gold Saum and whether a true Green Terror or not he is definitely a terror. He is an awesome fish!

How do u tell them from green terrors? That black spot in the mid?
The orange, red, and greenish turquoise colors we normally would associate with a "green terror" are hardly prononced at all on a true saum. I personally would love to have a silver saum.
