What is a good cover plant

Im thinking of setting up a planted 40 breeder, and would love to have a bottom covered in some kind of lawn looking plant, what would you suggest, and how do i make it thrive??

Dwarf sag if your a beginner, just needs good substrate

Dwarf sag or dwarf hairgrass. If you want them to carpet you'll need ferts, CO2 and some good lighting.

Dwarf Hair Grass is a little harder to grow a carpet with unless you are using CO2 and proper fertilization. Dwarf Sag is much more forgiving and easy to grow.
