I have a 55 gallon tank, im looking for a fish that gets from 6 to 20 inches big, im upgrading to a 90 in the summer so it will have enougth room. Also it needs to not be very agressive and not eat plants.

Also do clown loaches eat plants?

Clown loaches can punch holes in plants, particularly broad leafy plants like swords. This can be managed by offering them some vegetables weekly. They can also uproot plants when the get larger. Wouldn't be my first choice for a planted tank, but I love my clown loaches.
For your tank... Are you looking for a Cichlid? Something flashy? Angelfish and discus are classics for a planted tank.

I wouldent want discus or angelfish, and are there any chiclids that I could keep with other fish? I heard they are agressive towards most others. And im looking for a larger peacfull fish that looks nice because I already have alot of smaller fish

What kinds of smaller fish do you already have that you would be keeping with the larger fish that you choose?

try a delhezi bichir, not aggressive but will eat fish that fit in their mouths. also don't do too much damage to plants.
