Hey does anyone know a good item that can be used as a water polishing material? Anything that can be found easily in the household items or local stores.:)

Thanks.

Any other ones? Also is there such thing as too much carbon?

Also any fine materials like some kind of cloth or w.e?

Anything cotton or similar. Other things might work a bit better, faster. But you cant beat the price. And it's available anywhere.

pillow stuffing..... chompers is working on a experiment with the ones with fire retardent in them but if you go to joanne fabrics i was told them have it straight with no retardent but i havent checked on this yet....

Felt, available in different grades at sewing/cloth stores.

I packed my fluval with cotton and cp. My water is crystal clear. If u have an extra filter, it is a good idea to designate 1 filter for polishing the water. Especially in large tanks. What size is ur tank?

I used quilt batting as mechanical filtration and it works very well.
