Seems like l600 is more rare than l114 and more money, although pseudasmart is breeding l600s now maybe l600 prices will drop.

He was selling them for $55 a pop. Price for a l114 same size is close to the asking price for the l600.
Both fish are getting harder to find.

Right, he was selling it for 55 each but hes a breeder, if it was a lfs, they usually have 40 to 50 percent mark up so id say at lfs they probably go for 100 each or more, so the l114 that u see at lfs for 50, they probably get them for 25 to 30.

Usually lfs mark up 100% - 400% on rare stuff I do know a lfs that is selling one for $120 I guess pseudasmart doest have any big overhead to be charging that price.

@Jc119 can you tell what i have? (the pic up top)

My friend picked up a small one that was sold as a wc L114 from a local wholesaler and it turned out super nice. It's about 7'' now and it has bright orange fins and smaller leopard spots on the body. It has put my L114 to shame if you were comparing color.

Based on the juvenile coloration, I'd guess L114 but Im far from an expert. Several folks over on Planet catfish have crossed the 2 as well. Beautiful fish either way. Likes meatier diet...

what should i feed him? lol
