What is a Snook???

I have heard alot about these fish,but have never seen them around here(where i live)Do they go by another name??Does anyone have any pics??Any help is really appreciated!!!

Snook are Centropomids.

Petenia splendida is a cichlid that is known by the common name "Red Bay Snook".

Big fish, but are not very aggressive.

i have two. i love these fish. no to aggressive but hold thier own with anyone. great personality. pretty red.thier great fish. ive heard they get about 16" mine are 5" and 4" id upload a picture but i dont know how to shrink my files sorry.
