what is a water/bubble kok?

Hi there. In addition to what they mentioned, the water kok is more sensitive than a hard kok. Water koks tend to shrink evidently when the fish is heavily stressed, most common when doing WC of more than 50%

This is what was told to me by my friend when i raised this question in our local FH community in India,,,,,
"The kok consists of lipoproteins that fish obtains from diet and surroundings. Its like a storage area. Some fish have soft jelly-like hump(Water kok), whereas others have harder humps made up of only muscles.(Hard kok)
Since different strains of FHs have different parent species, the structure of kok is different depending on those parent species. eg. If parents are a trimaculatus male and a blood parrot female, the chances of big head are less. If the parents are a good red devil or midas cichlid and a blood parrot female, the chances of big head are more.
Again, the quality of parent fish is very important determining the hump of fish. Hump genes are more visible in males, whereas some females may not have big humps but they may be carrying big hump genes.
Water Kok is preferred over hard kok. But it needs more care to be taken. Drastic water parameter changes may cause the hump to be reduced.
Water kok is more of genetics, but can also be altered with steroids or some hormones.
Not all water koks are because of steroids.
I hope it helps a bit to understand kok thing."
