I have an external pump with 2 a 1.5 inch return. After the tee to divert the water to each return line, what is the best valve to even the flow between both lines? Thanks in advance..

I would just put a ball valve in each return line and then you can adjust the flow any way you like.

:iagree: Just a simple ball valve from your favorite hardware store.

Thanks for the reply/I figured that. Then I was talking to someone who thought you could only use a ball valve for totally open or totally closed not to regulate pressue. Thanks for the info..........

I would suggest you NOT get the ball valve from your local hardware store as I have used them in the past and just about every single one of them no longers turns with out a nice sized wrench and even that is a struggle.

Spend the money and get real high quality valves from savco.com or plumbingsupply.com.

I have some that are 5 years old and act like they're new. Gate valves suck, but a PVC ball valve should never give you a problem.
