What do you intend to stock in the aquarium??
I personally would not recommend the Fluval 404 or 405. Instead the Eheim classic series, eheim ecco, or eheim professional series would be better. A 2028 eheim would run that size tank alright dependent on what all you plan to stock in the tank.

depends on the inhabitants of the tank. a good rule of thumb is to have a system that will turn the volume of your tank at least 4 times an hour. I would go with a sump personally. Second choice would be a cannister, but not a fluval 404. I would go with the FX5 or an Ehiem.
its my buddies tank, he wants alot of different kinds of smaller fish in it, no big messy eaters...
I can tell you that 2 AC 110's on my 90 gallon keep it a lot cleaner than a fluval 404 ever did with less maintenance. Considering I have 3 Decent size peacock bass in the tank they do a very good job
