Thread to provide a glimpse for us unto what is the latest news to your tank/s.
I'll start. I have finished my DIY LED strip today and I am on plant #19 in my 250 gallon. The LED's been a long awaited idea. I worked on something that will run the entire length of the tank. They come with "3M" adhesives which I pasted to a long plastic tubing. The ones you use to hide your electrical wiring inside the house. I tie-wrapped some parts of the strip just to make sure. I then put them into some suction cups and alas my tank is now brighter for less than 20 dollars. The light now glows brighter but less offensive to the eyes. Not only that, a 3rd multi-color LED strip is also added into my tank. This one is remote-controlled and can produce light from red to blue and can flash or fade between these colors. I have put it separately in another DC supply with timer. I will mainly use the blue light for viewing my clown knife at night. For the plants, I have added 2 more Amazon swords today to balance the ones in another side of the tank. Added a few more rocks to keep them from being uprooted. So far my GG has developed a taste for anacharis but leaves it alone at the moment. I have also replaced the moldable tube aerators I use to create my bubble wall with a heavier sturdy tube. The previous one either keeps getting uprooted, messed up or rise from the substrate. I'll post pictures tomorrow after the tank has cleared from me wallowing inside it.
Post anything/something interesting that is happening in your tank or tanks even if it's just one fish chasing another fish.
