Channa Aurantimaculata is my dream fish species!
I even think about go back to my South East Asia Country for retirement and built my own pond to keep all the fish species I like...Overthere, you don't have to worry all about stupid laws and rules like in the US.

An Asian Arowana, most likely won’t become legal in the USA so canada is on my list to live in.
Jardini or Asian aro (since I live in canada) and a kelberi peacock

My dream fish is the first fish I ever caught whilst fishing as a young lad, a European perch. One day I will have a species only tank with half a dozen or so of these in. They are common in the uk and are easily found in local ponds. And when they get big, they are stunning, as the pic shows.
These 2 species of snakehead, a black aro, harlequin tusk fish, samurai gourami, snakehead betta, and a pinnatus batfish. There's plenty more fish I dream of having but I don't want to fill out the entire thread lol. Btw all these pics are from Google.

Really tough one and it might depend when you ask me.
For now I'd say Some Tomocichla Asfraci or Tuba, ask me two days later I might say longears or tiger severums. Ask me a year ago I'd say Zebrina pike, so yeah it changes
