What is everyone doing about fish lice? Dimilin is gone...

My Koi have come down with a bad case of fish lice. Most research points to Dimilin as a cure but it seems to have been removed from the market. What else can I use to treat it that is readily available at most fish stores?

You can also use Potassium Permanganate. It's a cure all for the most part.

You can find it at plumbing stores. it's a purple powder, and a little goes a long way.

Becareful when using Potassium Permanganate though. It would also destroy your biological filtration

Yes, it will. So it's best to cut off your filtration from it. Hydrogen Peroxide will counter act it.

Just buy dimmilin online. I know a koi shop in my area still carries it and they ship. Dont use Potassium Permanganate its the nuclear option for fish wasting diseases that dont respond to regular meds.

I can't find dimiln anywhere...everywhere online says out of stock or discontinued, pond-care will tell you the FDA cancelled it
