Where the Simpsons takes place
Last night I went out to petsmart and bought a 3 inch female jack dempsey. I bought a dempsey because from my experience they can hold their own very well. When I put her in my tank she got in a little fight with my grammodes. The grammodes won and then he chased her a bit. I woke up this morning, looked in the tank and the grammodes was on the other side and the jack dempsey was in "his" cave. She doesn't chase him but he is keeping his distance from her. She is now the dominate one of the tank but when I went to feed the grammodes he refused to eat? I even dropped in bloodworms and he sucked it in and spit it out. Is he mad because he lost his dominance or whats going on? These fish are in a 75g and will be upgraded to a 150 soon.

Relax man, it's just a day. You added a fish, that changes the hirearchy of the tank and when things shift around, that causes a little stress. Stressed fish do not eat well. They'll come around so long as your caring for the tank well. Give it a few days.

it sounds daft but i call it sulking, my jag goes on hunger strike when i move things round in his tank. give it a day or two he will come round
