I just noticed a scale dangling from his kok just now. He seems to be in normal behavior and still eating. Is this okay? Is there something I should do about this? Im new to FH's and I'm not sure what to do with this... Thanks guys.
What is happening with FH scale? Is he ill? HELP!

He hit his head on something and it peeled a scale off. Perfectly normal with flowerhorns and some other cichlids with large nuchal humps. Give it some time and it will heal. Just make sure your water he's in is clean to minimize any chance of infection
he hit his head keep an eye on him... one of my good male hit his belly got an infection and died
