I know that this is a very broad topic, but i need to do a project for my enviromental biology class. Basically what i need is a list of some things that people may dispose of that is harmful to an aquatic ecosystem, mainly fish.

I already know things like gasoline, oil, and i think i remember reading about cigarette butts. Any other input would be helpful. Thanks.:D

this is true but im looking more for things that people cause more directly. Granted invasive species are caused by people.

sewage plants/ power plants based near creeks/lakes to easily dispose of waste

ok good. What about things i could test if i had too. I need to be able to find experiments already done because i dont think i could kill off some fish for a school class.

Clorox

Phosphates are a big problem. Not as much as they used to be before low phosphate detergent. They cause freshwater systems to become very productive, which is very bad. It causes way to much to be in the lake and it crashes a lot faster.

Bleach and other household chemicals.

Fertilizer as well.
