What is ideal tank size for a pair of trimacs? I'm going to start planning for my goal to have a beautiful pair of Trimacs in a happy home. Is 125g ideal or 180g? Or bigger? Thanks for your time.

Is it possible to have a pair of trimacs and an additional pair of another fish? Or two pairs of completely different fish in a suitable tank? The view of a nice male and female pair of cichlids is remarkable.

ive kept a breeding pair in a 150g, same dimensions as 125 just taller and also had other fish in the tank... convicts, and JD but they were single fish not pairs, with pairs you may see some aggression

Ideal? As big as possible, and that's for any fish. It's possible to keep a breeding pair in anything from a 40 gallon breeder (divided) and up, depends how often you want to be doing water changes. If you want to keep them in a natural looking tank without having to use a divider, you could do it with the 125.
