What is it?

So, I decided to pick up 3 "red texas" from petsmart. I'm growing them out to see how they turn out. Hoping to get 1 really nice fish out of the 3. This is the largest one starting to show it's colors. I was wondering what people think of it. Clearly has some flowerhorn but perhaps mixed with something else. It has some red starting to show. Also, a large black mark on the dorsal fin tells me it's a female. But it's temperament and growth rate seem more male to me. What do you think?

Thanks, I think it's a pretty cool fish for 6 bucks. She' got a lot of reds and blues that don't show that well in the photo. She still seems to be coloring up more and gaining more pearls. And a very aggressive personality at 4 inches.

Its a female. Looks like a low grade RD or ZZ to me as well. If she responds well to you then thats great. Thats one of the best parts about owning a FH.

Most people are calling it a red dragon. Can anyone explain the difference between RD and ZZ.

Here is my $6 pick up. Turned into a real nice fish. He's also the meanest damn fish I own! That's him and his hunny a female fredrickstahli.
