I was at a pet store last night and was looking for some black sand to put in my 2g betta tank, but all they had was "marine sand." What is the difference between "marine sand" and normal sand? Does the marine sand have salt in it or something?
Oh, I thought that might be what it was, but I didn't think it would be black if it came from coral.Larz;3903072; said:Sand mined from coral rock, and used as a substrate in marine tanks.
if it's black it's not coral .......(coral is ALWAYS white) check the ingredients in it, companies name their products all sorts of weird names to get them to sell, wether they are for marine tanks or notdrgnfrc13;3903079; said:Oh, I thought that might be what it was, but I didn't think it would be black if it came from coral.
