What is my Cuban crossed with?

So I bought this fish about a year ago labeled as a wild jag but then realized that it looks a lot more like a cuban than a jag. I have been told by a few people on this site that its a cuban crossed with something, but I have no idea what it is crossed with. Could it be crossed with a jag? This pic is a few months old and since it was taken the fish has grown about another inch and filled out a lot. My guess is that its between 9 and 11 inches now.

yeah looks like a cuban mixed with a jag to me, has more of the parachromis face shape with more body shape of the cuban

i don't know what that is but it sure is pretty, never heard of a cuban though, are they like jags with smaller spots??? beautiful fish

It's not crossed with anything. It's Nandopsis tetracanthus. Folks are too quick to yell hybrid. It's just a Cuban cichlid.

I agree with Mo on this. I have seen a lot of variation in these guys when it comes to overall pattern and color.

Looks a "bit" like a cross to me but i would go with what he says.

yeah i just thought the face looked a bit different than a normal cuban and was more pointed and "parachromisy" which is why i went with that, but if mo thinks its a pure cuban then i would go with that...
