I know their are different names for FH, I was wondering what mine was, all it said when I ordered it was a red FH. Also can you guess if it's a male or female?

red dragon is a zz.
BIG_ONE;4241955; said:From what I know from talking to overseas breeder, most Red Dragon are being bred with a ZZ. They look very similar, true ZZ have blue pearls. Now a days ZZ and Red Dragon can be call to be the same. The earlier generation of ZZ and Red Dragon is just about the same. But ZZ is suppose to be a line bred that suppose to have pearls. ZZ as from what I talked to local breeders, it means pearls.
But hey who knows, maybe you learned your stuff from someone else that might be more accurate than from who I learned my stuff from.
Red Dragon:
Identification - Red Dragons belong to the Zhen Zhu strain of flowerhorns. One of the most popular breeds of all time the Red Dragon is so named, of course, for the spectacular red coloring on their bodies. Since this is the most readily available, easy to breed strain of flowerhorns there are many different looking fish all classified as Red Dragon. Their differences come as breeders across the world have their own take on how the fish should look. Whether the emphasis of a particular breeder may be on the pearling or the large heads, one thing is certain when it comes to Red Dragons, the more Red color on the fish the better!
