Right now I have a baby senegal polypterus probably about 4 inches. Right now I'm housing him with fish that I'm sure wont work when he grows up.. zebra loaches, phuket loaches, SA bumblebee cat, etc.

I'm curious what I will be able to keep with him when older? The plan for the tank is a 125 gallon with him, angelfish, peacock eels, a black ghost knife, a synodontis ocellifer, boesemani rainbowfish and denesonii barbs. I think all of those will be too big for him from what I've read.. but would I be able to keep smaller fish as long as they're fast? For instance harlequin rasboras, oto cats? Would I be able to keep Cory Cats? Sailfin Mollys? Bamboo Shrimp? Or am I underestimating him? The syndontis gets 7.9 inches... is even that too small to be safe in there?

No clue but I just recently got a senegal about 9" along with a 14" endli and 11" delhezi and they have yet to touch the cory cats (3 of them at about 2.5"-3"), RTC 3"-4", or my little Dat. Let's hope they won't. I don't think bigger fish will be a problem for them, more like smaller fish (unless you want them to be eaten). If it fits in their mouth, that's where it'll end up unless they are quick!

Don't mix with cory cats. Cory cats tend to be first on the food and they don't move from anything, a bad combination for polys who will snap at one that sits on their face (which they will do), and the worst part is if the poly eats it tail first, the spines will get lodged in its throat and both fish can die. The rest of the stock you mentioned should be fine, senegals don't really actively hunt fast fish, but may pick them off at night. Goodluck and post some pics!

Ok I think I will keep him in a 75 with discus. Would it be safe to put
synodontis ocellifer in? 7.9 inches.
