What is on my angels head?

This large black "splotch" hasn't always been there the pictures aren't the best quality but even if it was in HD it wouldn't look that different. He's had it for about a month possibly 2.. Is it something to worry about? Help please!

its just his color pattern sometimes the older the fish gets the more colors you will se on them,

Silvers get it on and off. It usually is more pronounced when the bars get darker in my silvers. I think its kinda cool looking.
