What is slimy thing

These things were all over the beach. The top video you is the thing in the water. The second video is some of them that got washed up.

My guess was hagfish slime. Maybe it's hagfish eggs. They are about 2-3ft long and 2in diameter.

Pretty positive they are some sort of snail egg sack or something. I grew up fishing daily on islands in the intracoastal in Florida and they would show up seasonally. They were hooked into the sand at one end and we're full of tiny black specs. We used to have jelly fights with them.

It is not a stick. It is a ratfish egg case.
