I picked up a used 90g ($25!!) to use as a sump for my 210g project tank. I wanted a 75g because it is shorter, but I could not pass this deal up. The tank is about 48"x18"x24".

Now I have it home and cleaned up, stuffed it under my stand and I really do not like the height of the tank. It does not leave me much room to service the sump, add water etc. Yes I measured before I decided to buy this tank, it is a totally different perspective looking at things with a tape measure vs having the actual tank sitting there.

So, I'm not going to use this tank as a sump but I'm going to keep it. I think I will make a nice stand for it and put it in my home office. Help me out with an unusual fish or fishes to go in this one. I'm thinking freshwater as I have never done salt, probably not Mbuna or Haps as that is what is going in my 210 one of these days. My 110g is a SA community, so nothing like that.....something cool and fun to watch:cool:

what about a FL gar? some Bichirs?

Earth eaters, discus and angelfish. <-- My dream tank.

Thanks for the ideas, looks like some cool fish. The gar and the elctric catfish look like they may get a little big for a 90G? I do not know how well discus would do on my hard, alkaline well water but I do like the idea.

I would get an oscar.

Current tank bred varieties would be just fine. Could always go with an oscar. They have amazing personality.
