Hey guys, I've been looking at barnes and nobles and pet shops and their is lots of books on keeping saltwater fish. I have a few, but I would like to buy a few more. Is their any books you recommend?

I personally would like a book that had many, many species of fish in their with husbandry requirements and other info. This can help me a lot in choosing fish.

Also a book on the diseases located in saltwater would be helpful too...Thanks a million!

volume 2 of the Conscientious Marine Aquarist is excellent. it goes over the basic setups for FOWLR, reefs, and another setup i cant remember what it was. it also has a large section that goes over most different types of common fishes you would find in the LFS, and their general requirements, also points out species to avoid and ones it would recommend. also overviews some corals you might find as well.

(i might add though, that some of the things it says to get for your setups can be outdated, such as the bottom tank filters, however, it is still quite comprehensive)

however, there r also other books availbe if your looking for a certain niche in SW, such as small beginner setups, shark and rays, lots of books out there on reef setups, water chemistry etc. but i feel like that book has laid out a great overview of whats available.

MrReef has a book he always recommends to beginners. I can't remember what it is, so I'd go talk to him.
