Ok, I am looking to get around 3 CA/SA peaceful and in the 6-10" full grown range with some plants driftwood, and a school of Corydoras Aldolfoi (i hope i spelled that right.) They will be housed in a 75g, with larger sand grans. I want colorful and medium size i would say. I also want a medium school of tetra. What fish, and filtration should i go with other than a wet/dry/sump?

If you want a HOB, get a AC 110 or two. If you want a canister, buy something within your budget thats rated for 75g or more (More the better).

Cichlid possibilities that comes to mind:
- Firemouth
- Blue Acara
- EBJD
- Keyholes
- Severum
- Nicaraguan
- Uara
- Geophagus

As for tetras, get ones that grow at least 3" or more so your cichlids are less likely to eat them.

this thread will probaully get moved sence it is in the wrong place. if you know that you want ca/sa cichlids you should put this in the ca/sa cichlid section. Ask the fish quistions there and the filter quistions here. I am not trying to a jerk but the mods on this site are not so nice and usually just delete stuff.

dude an fx5 is freakin huge for a 55 lol. i would go with a can filter. they are the best way to go. or a HOB fluval brand

I would get 2 AC110 power filters. The FX5 is not to big for the 55g. Matter of fact I don't think there is a such thing as a filter being to big.
