What is the best filtration for a massive outdoor pond?

I found that the large waterfall basins worked great on my outdoor pond. I was able to easily swap out and clean the media. Gave me some good aeration as well when hot. I pumped the water from the bottom side of the pond into the back of the basins.
There is good variants www.bestadvisers.co.uk/pond-pump/. I have got Hozelock one and satisfied. But sometimes it can be noisy.
