Hi all,

I have a 350Litre Reef Aquarium.
It is set up with a Skimmer & Fluval 405 Filter.
I bought the Filter second hand and am probably at the point where I need to replenish the contents of the various baskets.
I am thinking of the following:
Upper - Polishing Pad x 2
Middle1 - BIO Max + BIO Max
Middle2 - BIO Max + BIO Max
Lower - Ammonia Remover + Activated Carbon
Does this setup look ok or are there more appropriate configurations?
Thanks for any suggestions...

James

That looks good to me except for the ammonia remover. You don't need that since the bio max will be full of bacteria that will eat it. You may want to put a course filter pad in the bottom trays as well. This helps extend the life of your other media.

on my 55 i have a 405 with 3 bottom trays of biomax an top with chemi pure i use a 1 micron pad in another filter seems to work great
