For rays and will pool filter sand work and i have heard dont make it to seep so whats a good depth thanks.

i actually searched and i have found some sands but i was wondering if pool filter sand would be a good choice and if so what grit?

I remember reading on this as well scriving but i forgot :( I think there's some technical composition that u need to watch out for, im not sure :( something to do with or without quartz, it has something to do to injuring the disc. try to search it sorry i couldn't help.

from memory silica based sands are on the bad list as well. they are a generally abrasive sand ie bad sand

Back when I was wanting to get sand I read and was told by a few people estes marinland sand is fine for rays. That's wut I went with n so far so good. Think twice tho cuz yes it looks real nice. But man it's a pain to clean. Those gravel cleaners don't work the best with sand. Tile! Is wut I'm going with next. Looks real sharp

i looked into using pool sand...i had silica sand in my tank for them and they stirred it up crazy, then went with the smallest grade avail here 1.5 but i think you can get .5mm but that might be too light...they burrow in the sand an i love that they don't kick it up so much....i,ve posted video on here vs the too..can't find it let me know
