what is the best way to keep a background on?

I used the fancy solution, I believe it is called "Seaview". It does look good and makes the background pop, but it is a pain to use. If your background is not 100% perfectly flat on the edges you will get some air pockets which detract form the effect. So like every one else I ended up also using tape!

if your using a background with just one color (black, blue, etc.)
you could paint one.

or like above. tape.

i keep telling you just spray your tank and the backround with water. it should stick on. press out the air bubbles with something flat

i have done that 4 billion times and it still comes off

I always use mactac, an autoadhesive plastic that is generally used in kitchen cabinets. It's easy to instal and can be remove in a second without leaving any greasy trace on the glass.

it seems that tape is the winner here.
