what is the best way to transport rays?

Rubbermade place the ray in a garbage bag and tie it off inside the rubber made and then put the cover on. Also get a battery powered aireator and keep an airline in the rubbermade.
Also make sure the seller doesnt feed the rays for a good 48 hours prior to the move

I am 100% for bagging the rays with plenty of air like you are shipping them. Takes a whole lot less water and a lot easier to handle.

But, agreed with turkeyboy85. I did the same thing for a 12hr drive.

Let see I put my little 3 inch retic cb baby in a big bag from LFS with a bag buddie. Put that in a soft sided cooler with a hard liner inside the cooler with heatpacks from walmart, then put her in a suitcase and checked her as baggage on southwest :) Works perfect LOL Just ask USMC Tanker :)

Well, the CIA are working on some new TELEPORTERS, I am sure they will let you use one for preliminary testing ;)

On the serious note, place the rays in a large garbage bag and make not on on end. Then place it in a rubber made container and then pour water in with heat packs. Then put the cover on. Also get a battery powered aireator and keep an airline in the rubbermade. Make sure the rays have not been fed for a while before you pick them up. this reduces the amount of faeces and reduces the chance of the rays dieing in case you get caught up in traffic or something. Hope this helps :)

Would recommend atleast double if not tripple bagging the ray with garbage bags. Heat pads are a must, make sure the heat pads are exposed to air, if they are placed under the bags for example they dont work as they need oxygen to generate heat. I would recommend taping them to the inside of the rubermaid lid, just make sure not to cover them in to much tape.

Also make sure your garbage bags are the unscented type, seems that alot of the garbage bags these days get sprayed with perfume to cover up the garbage smell. Not sure how harmful the scented ones would be but probably not something you want to test.
