i have been able to catch and observe some peacocks and i thought they were tems but they may be monos is this possible.
are tems common? could i see some pix of both around 7 inches?

the most common cichla to buy in the u.s. i would say is a farm mono but the most common to catch in brazil, well i would say it all depends on which river you are fishing and which area. i would say a temensis is most likely the most common in big rivers... here is a pic

I can order occel and tems from my local lfs....every once in a while they have wild ones(didnt have any pbass then), but I had to order my mono's online. Wait till the local lfs gets more wild pbass on the list....girl is gonna love when I come home with MORE pbass...hehehe.

he wants to know what is most common in brazil waters

From all the pbass fishing vidz that I've seen on YouTube and such it seems as though that tems are the most common pbass that gets caught..

take some pics..if you put me in a room , Ill fly down there and fish with you and empty the waters and bring dem home for the BOYZ!!!

Wish I could, one of the biggest LFS in the area hasnt ordered cichla in 4-5 months, and the other that normally has them have no clue about the difference in species. I asked their fish guy if he ever gets any tems and he said " I just order Peacock bass, whatever comes, comes." Thats just the nature of where I live though, this place is like a little Beverly Hills. All these uppity ass people around here care about is saltwater. If youre not looking at corals and $300 fish they usually wont even ask you if you need any help.

lol because thats where all the money is.. ahahah dont hate on coral and marine fish keepers ;)

Harsh venom....ask the local lfs if you can see his fish ordering list. Thats what I do and I am amazed everytime what is on that list.....I wish I was rich and had my own fish shop....one day.
