I never understand the difference between channa and parachanna. It's the same kind of fish right?

their in the same species, just scientific names. channa is snakehead, while parachanna is the Obscure snakehead.
The whole species is Channidae.

Parachanna are only found in Africa, the genus Channa is found in Asia.
Just Snakeheads from different continents.
Similar terminology to the cichlid genera Etroplus and Paretroplus.
Etroplus are only found in India and Sri Lanka, Paretroplus are only found in
Madagascar.
Thanks, mate
