Hey guys i just join the clown loach club!!! I bought 3 nice 2.5 inch clown loaches and one died. Now i have 2 loaches with my 4 bichirs. I'm just wondering whats the growth rate of these loaches.All I know is that they grow super slow. I saw a pair of 5 inch loach in the LPS that were not for sale. The owner (the loaches were his) told me that they were roughly 5 years old!!!! holy!! Do they grow that slow?? what is a nice diet to increase the size and nutrients. i currently feed them in sinking worm pellets. I am going to feed them market shrimp soon with my bichirs.

Short answer: variable. Usually slow, sometimes you get lucky.
Try to have a minimum school of 5 animals. Keeps them happy.
Vary the diet- a little bit of veg every now and then.
Powerheads- heaps of water flow.

It's actually slower than that... they're awesome though.
