Is it a Xingu?? I have one with segmented lines on his head,my LFS had it listed as a Crenicichla Lepidotis but i Google imaged Lepidotis and they weren't Orange Pike!! PP,do your stuff!!

yeah a xingu
they tend to be not verry nice when they are mature

Yeah i know, thats why i have him!!!!!! He's with a Astronotus Ocellatus, and we all know their temperment!!!! In a 90 Gallon to boot!!!! But theryre all juvi's so hopfully that helps.

I had a Largemouth in my 90 gallon for like a good 5 months,he was growin' good, but then one day i went to my LFS for food and the rest is history.I hope this is the begining of a real long addiction, looks like it anyway.Crenicichla RULE!!!!

Yup, Crenicichla sp. 'xingu I'....;). BTW...Oscars are really mild in temperment when compared to adult xingu I...;). My pair would LITERALLY drag my adult Oscar around the tank by its tail. They are aggressive, never underestimate them. Oh, they were in a 125gal as well....;).
