I want to get some clown loaches and im upgrading to a bigger tank in the summer, im not sure what size yet but what size would I need to buy for 4 or 5 clown loaches

I have a school of five in a 75G. After four years, they are only 3-4" in length.

Since they like to swim up and down the glass walls; I would recommend a tall tank. They would look great and be very "happy" in a 120G or 150G Tall. My daughter had two of the five in her 15G tall tank at college. They wore groves in the glass with their constant up and down swimming...lol.

just wondering but after 4 years shouldnt they be bigger. My fried has 5 in a 150. the fist year they hit 8 inches then slowed down some. 2 years later his are all over 12 inches. Just seems 4" a bit small for 4 years, though i could be wrong...lol

You are talking about Clown Loaches right? That kind of growth rate is unheard of.

To OP, I wouldn't go smaller than a 55 gallon with small loaches. for bigger loaches, I would go with a 150 gallon. Loaches like to shoot around the tank with small bursts of speed. I like to give them lots of room to roam.
