Every book that I have seen is lacking. They only list 10 plecos, or they ignore larger fish, and most only cover commonly kept community fish. Suggest a good fish book. And yes, I can read. I just finished the epic novel, GO DOG GO!

Thats a tough question because it really boils down as to what specific information you want. Do you want a book about species id, general id and care , then you cant go wrong with the Aqualog Series book. There are other books that tend to other aspects of fishkeeping.

I am looking for a book that includes most kept species with a short desc. and preferred conditions. Basically a pic and a short note on each sp.

You have to be more specific. You just cant say large fish. . . Try this book for general descriptions of large cichlids and oddballs

Not looking for large or small, looking for comprehensive, all-inclusive. A book with every fish kept.

I would go with Baensch too.. Axelrods book has somewhat dodgy facts. Have you ever read Jumbo Fishes by axelrods beblondie? I have it and the facts are not that accurate. :(
