What is the most filtration for a 55?

I'm setting up a 55 with 4 or 5 good sized tilapia. Can I have too much filtration? I currently have an aquaclear 110, and was thinking I would get a canister filter. Maybe one of the new sunsun's, or even an FX5 if need be.

How much can my setup handle?

Ask just about anyone here and the answer is "You can never have too much filtration"

I used two xp-2's and it kept the water very crispy, plus I only needed to clean them twice a year !

Wow nvm filtration, one good size barely works in a 55g, more than that, they will def kill each other. Mine was sold 5times to people that put him with other fish much bigger. He would kill everything then people would bring him back. Def only one in a 55g I wouldn't be comfortable putting 4 in my 500g.
