What is the most highly spangled pike?

Well, based on this profile, this sounds like the perfect pike for my tank! Now where does one find them? Let me guess -- the same place I'm going to find Heroina (aka, nowhere)?

Some one here had a breeding pair about two years ago ... I'll try to search for the thread.

^ It was David (fish speaker). My Krobia and psittacus also came from him. He sells fry to Ken Davis. I'll maybe e-mail him and see if he has them still. I'm also waiting to see what John got in today because I may be tempted to just try a larger, more "challenging" pike...

Personally I think Crenicichla anthurus has the most spangles of them all. The males are just ridiculously spangled.

Then probably menezesi, saxatilis, lepidota. Not necessarily in that order.

They are available. There are some Cr. saxatilis for sale on aquabid right now actually. Cr. anthurus becomes available fairly frequently too.

Just searched Cr. saxatilis on aquabid and nothing comes up.
