Hihi,

I have had 3 Tetra external filters all have started leaking after 1 and a half year (all bought at the same time for 3 tanks different tanks).

Now I have moved into a new house which floors are a lot more vulnerable to water, but I'd still like to keep my last fish tank.

I had accident yesterday when my filter started leaking and there is already a little damage to the floor just beneath the aquarium. However I would like to find some better filter which I can rely on.. if it exists.

So, is there any filter which is better than the other when it comes to leaking?

Or should I rather buy a few internal filters instead?

My tank setup includes Oscar , 4x polypterus, 3x talking catfish, 1x leporinus affinis and a 30cm pleco . Would 2x internal filters handle all these poop machines? :D

Size of tank? If you want a HOB filter. Go with Aqua Clear or Marineland(Emporer). Canister: Fluval, Rena, Ehiem

I wouldn't do internals. Just my opinions.

2 internals wouldnt stand a chance to those guys IMO - id go with rena canisters or fluval, they are easy to work on without making a mess and the upkeep is easy, they can go under the tank and u dont have to see em, win win all the way around
