What is the most valuable fish to own?

Expensive to buy? Rare Arowana morphs sell for over 100 grand. Very Rare Koi sell for as much. Most expensive fish i have ever heard of for any reason was a Bluefin Tuna that sold to a Japanese bidder 9 years ago or so for 500 grand. For sushi.

Thats incredible! I was curious about both value to purchase and value to fishkeepers personally. I think this will be a good thread to check out if there's alot of posts :)

I'm pretty sure in more recent years one was sold for close to a mill for the same purpose if i remember correctly, since its something that happens every once in a while in HK when an exceptionally large fish comes in...

As for expensive fish to keep in the home aquarium, i'd most likely agree its probably some type of Aro or Koi...

Great white shark

I've not heard of any other fish that demands anywhere near the pricetag of these two groups.

the only thing that can come to that price is Flowerhorn! but FH with that price are very rare and only a few fish I know to have the price of $10k or more.
