What is the rarest Amphilophus species in the aquatic trade (not in the wild)?
Im kind of hoping my Alfari is the rarest species. If not what species is?:nilly:

Alfari isn't in Amphilophus it's in Astatheros, which have certain very rare species, like margaritifer (people don't even know if this exists), and calobrensis. Alfari is one of the more common Astatheros around besides maybe robertsoni.

What is the difference between Amphilophus and Astatheros? :irked:
Anyway, I think the alfari is even a Amphilophus and the margaritifer a Astatheros.

A. flaveolus in the trade I would guess, A. lyonsi in the wild.

And yes, Alfari are no longer Amphs ...

Miguel - Astatheros are the sand sifters, not the big bulky midas types.
